This article provides some reflections and proposals on how to integrate ethics in engineering education, focusing in those related more directly to digitization and information technologies. Based on the demands that various institutions make on universities, the competencies that engineering students should develop are presented, as well as the methodologies, the academic context and the approach that is considered most appropriate for an ethical training that contributes to face current and future social challenges.
