DATA IN A DIGITAL PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION - URUGUAY PERSPECTIVE

The article summaries some of the advances in digital government that Uruguay has experienced in the last decade. These advances are narrated from a use of data perspective and data-driven digital transformation.

The article also includes some thoughts on the future of digital development in Uruguay and in particular from the value of data in public and private sector. A brief reference of “Government as a platform” is introduce, to describe this future perspective, where government data is available to strengthen industry, citizenship and academia in innovation and business.
