ABOUT FEMALE’S IMPOSTOR PHENOMENON IN THE SOCIAL INCLUSIVE CONTRACT

Beatriz Arias

The survival of the planet and global society depend on a sustainability that requires actions of self transformation of the agents that must contribute to it (governments and public institutions, enterprises, civil community). The role of companies in particular as respective change agents has a lot to do with how they manage talent and stop an actual loss phenomenon, that is adding on top of the so called great resignation and the quiet quitting: the impostor syndrome in female talent which, being in clear minority in the impacting technology industry, receives a constantly pouring rain of unconscious messages of condescension, disapproval or exclusion, inviting them to discard themselves by avoiding showing up with creative proposals or being promoted for higher challenges. The consequence: the invisibility of a talent that is key to achieve the diversity driver that is now out of question, as well as the loss of an existing opportunity for even higher growth of the financial account balance.
