Perú is the second country in the world to receive migrants from Venezuela with approximately 1,2 million people. The objective of this study is to evaluate aspects of the socioeconomic situation of refugees and migrants from Venezuela residing in Metropolitan Lima (Peru) in the context of the third wave of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The global pandemic of COVID-19 has generated profound effects that have led to the deterioration of livelihoods and food security in different countries of the region, including Colombia. A recent assessment carried out by the FAO through telephone surveys with statistical representation at the national level, demonstrates the impact on the quality of life and minimum conditions of subsistence of households given the multiple shocks presented by the pandemic and the social context (national strike) that the country faced during the months of June to August 2021.
